Andrews rainbow house
This investigation took place in August 2008. The story goes like this;
"Seattle - Andrew's Rainbow House - A young man named Andrew who was gay finally decided to tell his father he was gay. His father freaked out and killed his son and himself. The next morning the house was painted rainbow colors on the front and the back of the house is an array of colors and swirls. There is also colored tile on the roof and a gray letter "A" in the tile roof. The house has been painted before but the next day the house is always backing to the rainbow colors. The house was shown on "Unsolved Mysteries" for the unexplained activity."
I personally interviewed the owner of the house, Anita, not Andrew. The "A" on the roof of the house was put there by her husband for her(Anita). Though she admitted to the house having activity in the past, she assured us that after having had the house cleansed it has been peaceful ever since. As the video states (on the video page)her husband who was a painter decided to paint the house the rainbow color just to be different, did not have anything to do with anyone's preference. As for not being able to paint over the rear of the house, well check the pictures in the gallery and you will see that the back of the house was painted over.
Anita was a very open, very friendly, talkative person, she was more than happy to tell me the story about her house. I let her know I would get her real story about the house out there, that there is not and never was an Andrew, and for people to stay away from her house at night because it stirs up the dogs and makes the neighbors angry. I was lucky enough to see her sitting in her front yard in the afternoon and asked her if she would tell me her story, and she agreed.
There is absolutely no truth to the story of Andrews rainbow House.
This is Anita..
Bayview cemetary, Bellingham 2009
Investigators-Myself, DJ, Krys, and Melissa
We were allowed by the gatekeeper to be inside the cemetery area as long as we parked outside the gates.
The story goes;
"Their have been reports of a ghostly apparition floating along the stone walls of the cemetery. Inside the walls there are 3 hot spots and a monument called the "death bed", it is said that when one lies upon this monument they expedite their death. The other "haunted" monument is called "angel eyes", it is believed that the apparition that is seen wandering the stone enclosure is the spirit of the person buried beneath that statue."
First of all, this is near a noisey well used main road in Bellingham, so EVPS were basically out of the question as the traffic noise and people walking nearby were quite the distraction. We headed straight for the Angel which over many years was told that it cried tears of blood, we stayed in the area for several hours taking photos with our digital cameras and video footage with our night vision and was unable to capture anything.
Next was the "death bed", again nothing paranormal about the monument, and yes someone DID lie on the top to see if there was any truth to the story, and nothing happened. And the stone walls were another area we covered again with no unusual pictures or video. This is not to say that there is not something paranormal going on in this location, just nothing happened for us that night.
I would suggest checking it out for yourself, take some pictures, you never know what might happen.
Afterglow Mausoleum (McMillin Mausoleum) July 17,2009
Investigators-Cindy, Melissa, and myself
We were given permission by security to be in the area after dusk.
The story goes;
"Legend has it that one of the chairs contains the ashes of McMillin's mistress. Each chair has a stone column behind it. However, one chair and column are conspicuously absent to symbolize a son who has disowned by his eccentric father and family. Another account has it that the intentionally broken column represents life broken by death, while the ring supporting the columns represents eternal life after death. Although I know of no photograph being taken showing ghosty bits their have been sightings and sounds reported. Some say the disowned son is seen running around the table, others the broken hearted wife knowing the mistress is seated there. Reportings go on to say that after the building of the mausoleum there were strange rituals that took place before the McMillin deaths. Also after their deaths a small coven of witches known to be living a solitary life on the island used it for their rites and rituals. Their apparitions have been seen, sometimes as a single woman or a group but most always with the sounds of chanting being heard in the trees."
We turned everything back on and resumed our investigation. While resetting the camera, I asked Melissa if she needed a flashlight and she responded "no" but shortly after she said no, you can hear another MALE voice say "no". There were no men on this investigation. 7 minutes after this EVP another inaudible male voice was heard on the recorder. (We were unable to hear this as it happened).The first voice was captured on the hi-8 and digital recorder (which will be posted soon). Our investigation was cut short due to the lack of people on the trip, there were trails below the mausoleum that made us uncomfortable simply because the security person told us his biggest worry about the place was people going up there to drink. There are several pictures in the gallery and video and evp coming soon. All in all, the place is peaceful during the day, but a little First of all, it was unknown to us that the Afterglow Mausoleum was an actual state historical site, a well visited one at that. There are 2 ways that we used to get there, one way is a trail that leads through an old cemetery and an access road. We checked the area out before dark to make sure there were no areas we could trip over or fall from and needless to say it was a very well taken care of trail area. We did notice during daylight hours that you can hear all the noises coming from the harbor area, people shouting, airplane noise from the airstrip at the trailhead, it all seemed to echo off the water below, keeping this in mind we headed back down the trail to wait until dark. We returned to the mausoleum just after 10pm, I walked the trail leading through the cemetery video taping the area, Cindy and Melissa walked the access road. We met up and continued to the site. We set up our digital voice, hi-8, and "Franks box" and began an evp session. We began asking the usual questions, and continued taking pictures. When I went to check the hi-8 it had shut off, so none of the evp session was recorded on video tape, also one of the recorders was off. spooky at night. Haunted? We'll let you decide. If you want to visit the mausoleum yourself after dusk I would suggest getting permission to do so and bring a sufficient amount of people with you as it is out in the woods and that at night alone is spooky...

Local School 2007
Investigators-Cindy, Wendy, Darlys, myself and another anonymous person
The story we were told by a (former) employee is that she could sense a presence in the building when she was there alone, she often heard noises and believed there to be spirits of both a man and a woman.
We investigated the areas of the school thought to have the most activity, we held evp sessions, took several digital stills. We spent several hours in the building but were unable to come up with anything on picture or on voice recorder. We were getting ready to leave so we took a few pictures of outside of the building. We did notice that in one of the pictures there was what appeared to be a cross hanging in the attic. We couldnt see the cross from below, just in the picture. We thought this odd simply because of the laws on school and religion. We heard the next day that this employee entered the attic area and there was no cross or nothing that resembled a cross near the window.
Im not sure what to think of it, to me it could be just about anything, maybe shadowing on the wall? Look at the picture and let me know what you think.
Ebeys Landing-Sunnyside Cemetery
Investigators-Dj, Phyllis, and myself
The story of the haunting is;
Accounts have said that Issac Ebey's ghost, both with a head and headless, have been seen in the cemetery and in an old cabin his family occupied after his death.
We investigated the cemetery area near the block house and the older part of the cemetery where the Ebey's were buried. A very historic place, with some very old gravesites. The three of us felt uncomfortable the entire time we were there, the place just had a creepy vibe to it. We left the video camera and the emf detector rolling in the cabin while we explored the oldest parts of the cemetery. We managed a few hits on the emf detector while we were in the area of the Ebey's surrounded by a pickett fence. Several pictures were taken with different types of anomalies, streaks of light or "plasma trails" were in several pictures. We returned to the block house and held an evp session. No voices were heard on playback and nothing was found on video. We may not have much from this investigation but its worth going back for another try which we plan to do soon.
Overall the place is awesome, I recommend visiting during daylight and evening hours. Just head towards Coupeville on highway 20 until you come to Sherman rd and turn right, then right on Cook rd and you are there, it's away from houses and the highway so the noise isn't bad, but there are lights off in the distance. Still with that being said its very dark out there and alot of trees.
Sauk-Suiattle Indian Cemetery, 9-2009
Investigators-C Brink, S Hall, Melissa G, and myself,
There are no stories of hauntings at this location, although MonsterQuest did a story about Sasquatch just a few miles away thats not what we were there looking for.
First of all, the area is far from street lights, noise, and people. The drive is nearly 12 miles from the highway between Rockport and Darrington. Not a place you would want to go alone at night! We told ghost stories and talked about horror movies all the way up there, to the point where we weren't sure we even wanted to get out of the van when we reached the location! After spending a few minutes looking around we started to feel more comfortable. We were using infrared video cam, digital voice, digital cameras, audio enhancers, emf, and something new to our group, dowsing rods. We have a few interesting pictures posted in the gallery, but were unable to get any audio or video. We also played Pacific Northwest Indian music hoping to entice the spirits to join us, but they were quiet this night. As we were wrapping things up, recorder at capacity and video camera battery drained, is when the most interesting event of the night happened, we heard a very loud howl or hoot. It was then time to exit stage right, in the van lock the doors and get outta Dodge! We didnt capture it on audio and we were all upset about it because no one will ever believe the sound we heard that night, no it wasn't coyote, I am surrounded by those everynight so I know what they sound like, no it wasn't an owl or a bat. It was a sound that I've only heard on tv and I'll leave the rest to your imagination because we have no proof....
Northern State Hospital-10- 2009
This was more of a tour than an investigation, but we were happy to be able to do that much as the State has pulled the plug on paranormal investigations in this location for the time being, why you ask? After the tv show "Ghost Hunters" did their investigation and aired the show, the state received alot of negative feedback about how the show represented the Hospital. The first lobotomies DID NOT take place at Northern State and there were a few other discrepencies, some bending of the truth by the cast of the show. This is unfortunate because we as locals are not in it to make money from a tv show, we are in it to find some truth, and we have nothing but respect for the buildings, and everything they represented, as all the locals know Northern State was at one time a huge part of the community, it employed alot of people and housed even more, the place has history and in my opinion(and in many others) the place should be taken better care of, it should be a landmark. Hopefully someday enough money can be put into it to make it a place where everyone that is curoius about it can go see it themselves. As for now it continues to deteriorate. We were lucky enough to get in to see it for ourselves, even though it wasn't a full on investigation, we were still able to pick up some evps from our digital recorders that we left in various parts of the building, they will be posted soon!**UPDATE** Tour dates are posted on the calendar for November****
Private La Conner Home-10-2009
Investigators-C-Brink,S Hall, DJ, Phyllis G, and myself
The residents of this home told us of several different occasions when there was some kind of activity in the home, mostly they heard someone walking down the hall and down the stairs, they have at times seen a figure in the windows, knocking on doors, and saw what appeared to be a person standing near their bed. With this is mind we set up an infrared camera at the bottom of the stairs, voice recorders were also set up in parts of the house where the most activity took place. This investigation was a little different as we had 2 extra people from the newspaper with us.
We began our investigation, DJ setting up in the attic, Cindy & Shelly in the downstairs bedroom, and Phyllis and I in the upstairs bedroom, we began an EVP session which was cut short as the weather took a turn for the worse and the house being older, had alot of noise coming from the rain beating down on the roof, this made it impossible to capture any noises or voices that may have been out of the ordinary. We continued to take pictures and monitor the house with a motion sensor and emf detectors, but for the most part we explained what we were doing to the news people. Due to the bad weather and being uncomfortable with having people watching us the investigation was ended. The evidence we were able to get was all gone over, with the digital recorder all that was heard was the rain, nothing appeared on the infrared, and one picture that was taken had a reflection in the window of a person, we just don't know who it is, it can be seen in the gallery. Though there was no activity while we were there the residents say they continue to hear noises. I would like to plan another investigation in this house with fewer people and better weather.
